This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-82644. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
RNF12 is a RING-H2 zinc finger protein. It has been shown to be a ubiquitin protein ligase that targets LIM domain binding 1 (LDB1/CLIM), and causes proteasome-dependent degradation of LDB1. This protein and LDB1 are co-repressors of LHX1/LIM-1, a homeodomain transcription factor. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported.
