Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (100%), Rat (100%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84256. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
RRAGC (Ras-related GTP-binding protein C) is a monomeric guanine nucleotide-binding protein that plays a crucial role in the cellular response to amino acid availability through regulations of the mTORC1 signaling cascade. RRAGC forms a heterodimer with RRAGA and RRAGB and is primarily localized to the cytoplasm. It cycles between an inactive GTP-bound and an active GDP-bound form. RRAGC, in its active form, participates in the re-localization of mTORC1 to the lysosomes and its subsequent activation by the GTPase RHEB. This re-localization is a crucial step in the activation of the TOR signaling cascade by amino acids.
