Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (91%), Rat (91%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56139. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TDRD5, also named as Tudor domain-containing protein 5, is a 981 amino acid protein, which contains one Tudor domain and three HTH OST-type domains. TDRD5 localizes in the cytoplasm and belongs to the TDRD5 family. TDRD5 is required during spermiogenesis to participate in the repression transposable elements and prevent their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity.
