This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-51394. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
Strong TKTL1 protein expression has been correlated with a certain type of glucose metabolism (aerobic glycolysis; Warburg effect) and to cells which are affected by chronic complications of diabetic patients. In colon and urothelial carcinomas, expression at the protein level is correlated with invasiveness of tumors and poor patient survival.
