Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (87%), Rat (87%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-60696. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TNP1 is a spermatid-specific product of the haploid genome which replaces histone and is itself replaced in the mature sperm by the protamines. Transition protein-1 is a spermatid-specific product of the haploid genome which replaces histone and is itself replaced in the mature sperm by the protamines (see PRM1, MIM 182880; PRM2, MIM 182890) (Luerssen et al., 1990 ). Sequence Note: removed 4 bases from the 5' end that did not align to the reference genome assembly.
