Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (51%), Rat (51%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59607. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TRAC-1 is a 232 amino acid protein containing an N-terminal RING-type zinc finger domain. It functions as a positive regulator in the T-cell receptor signaling pathway, thus leading to T-cell activation. It mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. TRAC-1 is expressed in lymphoid tissues, including bone marrow, spleen, thymus as well as in other tissues. It is predominantly expressed in the CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells, suggesting that it is preferentially confined to T-cells.
