Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (77%), Rat (77%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-57056. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
The TRIM67 gene encodes a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) protein family, which is involved in various cellular processes including protein ubiquitination, signal transduction, and immune responses. TRIM67 contains RING, B-box, and coiled-coil domains, characteristic of TRIM proteins, which facilitate interactions with other proteins and contribute to its role in ubiquitination and cellular regulation. TRIM67 is notably expressed in the brain and has been associated with neurodevelopmental processes, particularly influencing neuronal differentiation and synapse formation. This gene plays a regulatory role in signaling pathways that are critical for neural development, and mutations or dysregulation in TRIM67 have been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders and cognitive deficits. Additionally, TRIM67's involvement in protein degradation and signal modulation may impact cellular architecture and brain function. Ongoing research seeks to elucidate TRIM67's precise mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets for neurological conditions.
