This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56938. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
Polyglutamylase which preferentially modifies alpha-tubulin. Involved in the side-chain initiation step of the polyglutamylation reaction rather than in the elongation step. Required for CCSAP localization to both spindle and cilia microtubules. Increases the effects of NCOA2 in glucocorticoid receptor-mediated repression and induction and in androgen receptor-mediated induction.
