Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (80%), Rat (80%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56205. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
The protein encoded by this gene is a deubiquitylase that binds ERCC1, the catalytic subunit of the XPF-ERCC1 DNA repair endonuclease. This endonuclease is a critical regulator of DNA repair processes, and the deubiquitylase activity of the encoded protein is important for maintaining the DNA repair ability of XPF-ERCC1.
