Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (88%), Rat (88%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59276. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
The ZNF609 gene encodes zinc finger protein 609, which functions as a transcriptional regulator involved in the modulation of gene expression during development and cellular differentiation. ZNF609 contains zinc finger domains, which enable it to bind DNA and control the transcription of target genes, influencing processes such as cell proliferation and neuronal development. This gene is particularly important for normal neural and muscle cell function and has been implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders and cancer. ZNF609 is known to interact with signaling pathways that control neuron differentiation and migration, and alterations in its expression have been associated with conditions like intellectual disability and developmental delay. Furthermore, ZNF609's role in cancer biology shows its involvement in regulating genes linked to tumor progression and metastasis. Studies on ZNF609 focus on understanding its regulatory mechanisms and potential as a therapeutic target for diseases related to developmental deficits and cancer.
