Microplates

Using the right microplate is critical for the success of plate-based assays. Plastics used in the production of certain plates may have autofluorescence producing false positive results. For assays with live cells, coatings or special surfaces may be necessary to promote attachment and cell health. Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a range of microplates to support your assays.

Choose from a wide selection of surface modifications and formats for a variety of 2D and 3D cell-based assays. Get optimal performance with minimal background and crosstalk between wells for maximal signal detection. Minimize evaporation concerns for live cell assays with long incubations.

µDrop and µDrop Duo Plates

Thermo Scientific μDrop and μDrop Duo Plates are ideal tools for quick and easy photometric measurement of DNA, RNA, and protein concentration in low sample volumes (2–10 μL), as well as spectral scanning. The low volume area is designed for use with an 8-channel pipette for fast and accurate multiple sample pipetting. The plates also contain a separate area for cuvette measurement. µDrop Plates are compatible with Thermo Scientific Varioskan LUX, Varioskan ALF, and Multiskan SkyHigh microplate readers. Our user-friendly SkanIt Software offers ready-made protocols for quick sample measurement and analysis using the μDrop and μDrop Duo Plates.
